Have any of you used Moon Valley Organics products? CareGifting offers their Body Heal balm, Lip Treat Balm and this unique and totally adorable “Baby Bum” Bar. What a great Baby Shower gift idea!
The Baby Bum “Bear” Bar is for baby’s bottom. It is specially formulated for baby’s sensitive skin using only the purest and most nourishing ingredients available like organic red palm oil, which is high in antioxidants and pro-vitamins; chamomile essential oil for its soothing and calming qualities, St Johns Wort and Oregon grape root to provide a protective layer for baby’s tender bum.
There are small soft paper wipes in the cannister to rub the bear on and then you use the wipes on baby’s bottom. You could also rub onto your hands like other baby balm’s and then rub onto the skin. My daughter uses this on her feet, hands and areas that get chaffing. It really is great for kids and they love the bear!
We saw this unique gift in a Whole Foods market and had to get them in our CareGifting store.
Not only is it a great gift idea for everyone but it really works to reduce eye fatigue and puffiness. The eye pillow is filled with flax seeds and lavender flowers. It can be used to relieve headaches, puffiness, eye fatigue, sinus pressure and can help you fall asleep. We are using these every night and noticing the effects of the pillow immediately. Our eyes feel completely refreshed when the pillow is cooled in the freezer.
This pillow was sent to a grandmother when she was in the hospital having hip surgery. Hospitals are busy places and very light filled so having a little scented, snuggly eye pillow to place over the eyes during rest periods was so beneficial to her recovery. The bunny was always on her bedside table and was quite a conversation piece with visitors, doctors and nurses.
The pillow can also be warmed in the microwave to snuggle with at bed time or movie time. Kids love these a little toasty warm and left on the pillow right before they crawl into bed. Sweet Dreams!
Get Well Gifts are always cherished when received. At CareGifting our name says how we feel about the gifts we offer. We always look for quality items, organic, preservative free and we test products before we sell them to our customers.
Deep Steep products have been very well received with us. The first thing that you think when you try one of their products is how great the smell is. Fresh, but not overpowering. Unique scents that you don’t typically see combined and they just work together like a chorus to a love song!
Deep Steep lotions are creamy, not greasy and provide immediate hydration, vitamins and minerals to parched skin. The Bubble Bath in Honeydew Spearmint is our favorite. Rich, luxurious bubbles and the honeydew-spearmint scent is out of this world good. We’re not kidding, this scent is like sweet tropical air.
We won’t miss telling you about the Lavender and Chamomile lotion. Oh no, this one is also a favorite. We put it on our elbows, knees and tops of our hands and after a week there was a significant difference in the texture of the skin. In retrospect we should have done before and after pictures, next time! Our skin went from dry, wrinkly to soft and supple in just a few days. Applying right before bed was the ritual we preferred most, and luckily we were able to add in a Lavender and Chamomile Bubble Bath prior to it so we felt equally spoiled.
In our opinion this is one of the top spa/bath product line’s out there and we will continue to promote, sell and use these products. Deep Steep is here to stay! If you have used any of their products please comment on your fav’s and why. We love to hear from you.
I was reading an older article in Consumer Reports regarding what bugs Americans the most. What’s funny is that “not getting a human on the phone” was #2, after “Hidden fees” at number one.
I can totally relate to that non human voice on the other end of the phone. Automation has gone completely overboard if you ask me. Companies want to cut costs and the more things a machine can do the less you have to pay. Seems really easy to get caught up in new technology and making everything more simple with computers and machines to do everything for us.
CareGifting is a company that still does things the old fashioned way. When you call you get a real person. Sometimes the machine might answer but we call right back! We wrap all gifts by hand, items are tested by humans and not animals. Kids are often asked to sample foods and children’s items so we know if they would be good for others. One of our CareGifting Kids really loves Peter Rabbit Organics drinks so we stock those and they are very popular. We recently introduced Anna’s Ginger Thins as another kid pick item. Kids love these when they are sick. Very yummy for the tummy.
We get a lot of requests for after surgery gift baskets for children and teens. The typical gift basket doesn’t usually work for those under the age of 16. Sometimes they can’t eat the sweets or the gifts included in the gift basket really wouldn’t help the a youth with their individual recovery. We have compiled some suggestions that we feel work really well based on how many customers send these items to young people. Please feel free to comment if you have other ideas that worked for you.
These are the items that always get requested for children and teens in our after surgery and get well gift baskets. If you have items that you know are a hit with the kids when they are recovering from surgery or illness, send me an email khebb@caregifting.com and I will add them to the list and will consider the item for our inventory.
The three key elements to a great gift basket idea are:
1. Find a gift that sends the right message. Books and Journals are always a good choice. CareGifting has a variety of books and Journals to choose from. We do our best to stock a wide variety of books but there are times when we might not have exactly what you are looking for. If there is a book that you want to send and we don’t have it, we will do our best to go out and locate the book at a local merchant and add it to your order. Please call customer service for assistance.
2. Find a gift that’s appropriate for the situation. If someone is recovering after surgery you should not send them candy or flowers. What they really need are comfort items that will assist them in healing, we recommend any of the gift baskets in our After Surgery Gift Baskets
3. Find a gift that fits your budget. Spend an appropriate amount based on your relationship with the recipient and your budget. Look for quality, re-usable items that the recipient will use and not re-gift. CareGifting offers you the ability to Create Your Own gift basket within your budget. Remember it’s not about buying the most expensive basket with the most items inside; it’s about giving something meaningful to the recipient that they can use.
For days and possibly weeks, your basket will be in the recipient’s home or office. Your gift message will be read over and over again and will be a symbol of your thoughtfulness. The right gift basket idea will make all the difference.
Your girlfriend just had surgery and totally loves yoga, but that doesn’t mean you should get her a new yoga mat as an after surgery gift. Instead, seek out something with a more pampering theme- maybe bubble bath, slippers, silk pajamas or an all natural body lotion.
Gift Baskets Ideas For Kids You can do your best to get them outside and away from the TV, Computer, etc. But sometimes that’s just what they like and all that they have given the situation. Try one loaded with books, games or toys. There are kids’ gift baskets, birthday gift baskets, and even baskets tailored to cure boredom or stress relief for the traveler or college student.
Gift Basket Ideas for Someone you don’t know so well Sometimes we have to get a gift for someone we don’t know that well, a coworker, an employee, the postal man or maybe even your own relative. What you need to do is not select a gift that is too personalized. Socks, journals, crossword puzzle books, healthy snacks, pillows, blankets are all universal items that anyone of any age could enjoy.
Any gift basket idea is a good one! Gift baskets are great for any moment deserving of thanks-thanks for taking care of my cat, sympathy-sorry for your loss, or congratulations-welcome baby Jane! A new job, wedding gift, Easter basket, birthday, house warming,if it comes from you and it comes from the heart, gift baskets are always welcome and always remembered.
Soothing and healing a sore throat naturally is a way to heal the body without disrupting it’s natural harmony. Here are some natural remedies that can help with the symptoms and recovery of a sore throat.

Eucalyptus Oil steamed in hot water and inhaled is best but they it can also be beneficial when found in organic natural healing balms that can be applied to the throat area.
Water and herbal teas.
If your sore throat is severe or persistent, be sure to have it checked out; strep throat should not be ignored or treated casually, as it can lead to kidney problems or rheumatic fever.
