Have any of you used Moon Valley Organics products? CareGifting offers their Body Heal balm, Lip Treat Balm and this unique and totally adorable “Baby Bum” Bar. What a great Baby Shower gift idea!
The Baby Bum “Bear” Bar is for baby’s bottom. It is specially formulated for baby’s sensitive skin using only the purest and most nourishing ingredients available like organic red palm oil, which is high in antioxidants and pro-vitamins; chamomile essential oil for its soothing and calming qualities, St Johns Wort and Oregon grape root to provide a protective layer for baby’s tender bum.
There are small soft paper wipes in the cannister to rub the bear on and then you use the wipes on baby’s bottom. You could also rub onto your hands like other baby balm’s and then rub onto the skin. My daughter uses this on her feet, hands and areas that get chaffing. It really is great for kids and they love the bear!
Did you know that just a few minutes of journaling each day has been shown to have a significant positive effect on emotional and physical health.
CareGifting offers inspirational Journals that come with a brief instructional card about the health benefits of journal therapy, and a few tips about how to get started.
We saw this unique gift in a Whole Foods market and had to get them in our CareGifting store.
Not only is it a great gift idea for everyone but it really works to reduce eye fatigue and puffiness. The eye pillow is filled with flax seeds and lavender flowers. It can be used to relieve headaches, puffiness, eye fatigue, sinus pressure and can help you fall asleep. We are using these every night and noticing the effects of the pillow immediately. Our eyes feel completely refreshed when the pillow is cooled in the freezer.
This pillow was sent to a grandmother when she was in the hospital having hip surgery. Hospitals are busy places and very light filled so having a little scented, snuggly eye pillow to place over the eyes during rest periods was so beneficial to her recovery. The bunny was always on her bedside table and was quite a conversation piece with visitors, doctors and nurses.
The pillow can also be warmed in the microwave to snuggle with at bed time or movie time. Kids love these a little toasty warm and left on the pillow right before they crawl into bed. Sweet Dreams!
As studies show and parents can attest, baby massage can encourage bonding between parents and children, soothe fussiness, and even encourage growth. The benefits of Baby Massage are by now well known – the real question that remains for parents is: How exactly do I do it?
Written by an experienced baby massage therapist (and parent), this guide shows parents how to massage their babies with love and tenderness.
Helpful photographs demonstrate the precise placement of the hands and easy-to-follow instructions explain the benefits of massage for legs, arms, and bodies.
Special massages are included to calm your baby to sleep, comfort fussing, relieve tummy troubles, and relax your baby after a bath.
The stand-up format will allow parents to follow the instructions while keeping their hands free to interact with their babies.
Get Well Gifts are always cherished when received. At CareGifting our name says how we feel about the gifts we offer. We always look for quality items, organic, preservative free and we test products before we sell them to our customers.
Deep Steep products have been very well received with us. The first thing that you think when you try one of their products is how great the smell is. Fresh, but not overpowering. Unique scents that you don’t typically see combined and they just work together like a chorus to a love song!
Deep Steep lotions are creamy, not greasy and provide immediate hydration, vitamins and minerals to parched skin. The Bubble Bath in Honeydew Spearmint is our favorite. Rich, luxurious bubbles and the honeydew-spearmint scent is out of this world good. We’re not kidding, this scent is like sweet tropical air.
We won’t miss telling you about the Lavender and Chamomile lotion. Oh no, this one is also a favorite. We put it on our elbows, knees and tops of our hands and after a week there was a significant difference in the texture of the skin. In retrospect we should have done before and after pictures, next time! Our skin went from dry, wrinkly to soft and supple in just a few days. Applying right before bed was the ritual we preferred most, and luckily we were able to add in a Lavender and Chamomile Bubble Bath prior to it so we felt equally spoiled.
In our opinion this is one of the top spa/bath product line’s out there and we will continue to promote, sell and use these products. Deep Steep is here to stay! If you have used any of their products please comment on your fav’s and why. We love to hear from you.

If you have had surgery, the food you eat can make a great impact on your recovery and on how quickly your wound heals. Eating the right foods can prevent complications, such as constipation, and provide the necessary building blocks your skin needs to heal quickly.
One of the best things you can do to improve your nutritional status when you are recovering from surgery, is to focus on whole foods. That means to choose foods that are “whole” or unprocessed. For example, an orange would be a whole food. Orange juice, though, would be a more processed version. A baked potato would be a whole food, while a French fry would be more processed and less healthy, having been fried.
Processed foods tend to have much higher amounts of fat, sugar, salt and chemical additives, but far less fiber and vitamins than their whole food counterparts. One easy way to stick to more nutritious, less processed foods is to focus on the outside aisles of the grocery store. Most grocery stores are set up with unprocessed foods on the outermost areas of the store in the produce, butcher/fish, dairy and bread areas. By doing the majority of your shopping in those areas, you will naturally choose healthier foods.
With all the press about “pink slime”we felt it was our duty to inform all of you that CareGifting does not use Pink Slime items in our CareGifting Gift Baskets ! Seriously, it seems to be in everything!
It’s really interesting and disturbing to read about how much of this ammonia hydroxide filled scrap meat gets into the public school system, read about it here and how long it’s been added to our kids school lunches. Luckily I am a “home lunch” Mom and ensure my kids go to school each day with a lunch box filled with delicous and healthy food choices. It doesn’t cost that much to prepare a lunch from home, it just takes time and planning. Find a night to sit down with your kids and talk about ideas they have for lunches the following week. We have a few days where soup or a casserole of some sort gets repeated but they are ok with that. I have a recipt I call the “Mix Up” that my kids pick what goes into it for veggies/noodles/beans and it always seems to be a winner. What kinds of healthy home lunches do your kids really enjoy?
As we steadily progress into this fast-food filled future, it’s important to take the time to slow things down. Cook a slow meal and eat a slow meal! Give back to yourself and your family by choosing organic products, cooking healthy and stay informed. No one is going to do it for you, the choice is yours.
Mix Up-Cook time 20 min
Pack of Rice Noodles or Egg Noodles
Box of Organic Beef Broth-best flavor for this
Chopped small Carrotts (not bunny loves but regular organic carrotts)
Corn (frozen works here quite well)
Brussell Sprouts-schredded
Celery chopped fine
Red onion Chopped fine
Black or Kidney Beans
salt and pepper to taste
Boil broth, add veggies cook for 10-15 min.
Add Noodles, boil till tender. If you choose rice noodles, prepare them seperately and add last.
Add Beans and salt and pepper.
My kids love this combination of veggies/noodles/beans. Talk to your kids about what they would want in their MIX UP! Take them to the grocery store, shop the organic veggies for what looks/tastes good to them.
You just may be surprised at what you discover.
